Thanking Those Who Have Risked It All

We are hopeful to raise funds to support those who have risked their lives for our own. New Jersey State Elks Association is hosting its annual Elks Army of Hope picnic to assist families who have had a parent called to active duty with the military reserve or National Guard.

Elks Army of Hope focuses on assisting active military servicemen and women, those severely wounded in the line of duty and our fallen hero families whose loved ones were killed in the line of duty. While not every fallen family participates, those that do receive financial and emotional support. One of their most notable programs is every Christmas and right before school starts, every family that has age-appropriate children receives $300 to help purchase presents and school supplies. “We are inspired by the group of individuals that run the Elks Army of Hope. They speak with passion and pride knowing that all funds are going directly towards those in need and it is rewarding to be surrounded by such a positive group of people.”
