Sending a Special Child to Elks Camp Moore
Our agency is on a mission to send one exceptional kid to Elks Camp Moore this summer. For more than 30 years, Elks Camp Moore has provided a unique summer camping experience for kids with special needs. The camp offers a fun and relaxed atmosphere for special needs kids and young adults between the ages of 7 and 18 (age is their only restriction). Campers attend at no cost to their families and over the years countless individuals have been able to experience new adventures and develop long lasting friendships by spending time with other campers and staff and participating in a variety of activities and experiences.
Located in the Ramapo Mountains, Elks Camp Moore brings campers of all physical disabilities together to participate in activities that help to develop their recreational, leisure, and social skills. The spacious and tranquil environment consists of 18-modern buildings, a large heated pool that is wheelchair accessible, 3 dormitories and a music room. During their week-long stay, campers grow to become more self-confident and more independent through participation in activities and experiences presented in a positive, enjoyable and real life situation. A camp counselor is assigned to every 2-3 campers and is there to help guide them every step of the way.
